Abstracts from global robotics experts are sought by Robotic Industries Association (RIA) for inclusion in the 42nd International Symposium on Robotics (ISR) and Automate 2011 Conference stated for March 21-24, 2011 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
The ISR will cover a wide range of topics related to industrial robotics, emerging/service robots, robotics research, machine vision and motion control technologies. RIA's organizing committee has published a preliminary agenda at its new website for the event, . At thissite you also will find a link to the abstract submission form, details on the Automate 2011 trade show, and other information about what is North America's broadest automation solutions show.
Formerly known as the International Robots, Vision, and Motion Control Show, Automate 2011 will be collocated with ProMat, the leading North American show for the materials handling and logistics industries. Together the two events expect to preregister some 35,000 people.
International speakers, exhibitors, and attendees will have the opportunity to visit the International Lounge, a special area set-up by the U.S. Department of Commerce to cater to the needs of international visitors.
ISR Gala Dinner and Engelberger Robotics Awards
RIA also will host a Gala Dinner on Tuesday, Mach 22 as part of the ISR, featuring the presentation of the annual Engelberger Robotics Awards, the industry's highest honor. It is expected that Joseph Engelberger, for whom the awards are named, will appear at the dinner -- he is now in his 80s and travels only on rare occasions, so this would be quite exciting for everyone in attendance.
The ISR also will feature a Dinner and Blues Bash on Wednesday, March 23, at legendary blues club, Buddy Guy's.
"From the conference topics to the exhibits on the trade show floor to the special events, I think this will the most exciting ISR we've ever hosted in North America," said Jeffrey A. Burnstein, President of RIA. "We look forward to greeting industry leaders from throughout the world."
