The rugged, UHF, semi-passive RFID reader, model 236005, is capable of reading EPC-compliant passive tags, as well as next-generation Class 3 battery-assisted passive tags. It performs well even in environments around liquids, metals and other RF-unfriendly conditions, which ensures the readability of fully loaded pallets and containers. This optimized semi-passive RFID reader can be configured with up to four antennae pairs and offers visual status indicators: a green LED for power, a yellow LED for activity and a red LED for error indication. It provides Web-based and remote firmware upgrade. In addition, the embedded software provides support for multiple applications to share control over the reader.
