  Punch Powertrain,based in Belgium,has recently taken over the ZF dividion responsible for continously variable transmissions (CVTs) and has opened the first independent automatic transmission factory in China. The new factory covers a total of 6,188sq m and is being built in Nanjing,the capital of East China's Jiangsu Province. The new plant is expected to begin production in May 2008 with a production capacity of 100,000 transmissions a year.

  Punch Powertrain manufactures and supplies CVT and hybrid powertrains and is the first foreign CVT producer to build an assembly plant in company already has a plant in Belgium with an annual production capacity of 80,000 transmission units.

  The CVT technology is acknowledged as a significant innovation in the automotive technology offers an impressive driveability, combined with higher comfort, high fuel economy and low rmore, the CVT of Punch Powertrain is fully ready to meet the requirements of the new EURO V norms.

  Punch Powertrain's advanced CVT transmissions offer additional software functions including OBDII and various driving strategies including a warm-up mode after a cold start and up and down hill onal features like manual mode, sport mode , economy mode or snow mode can also be implemented easily into the very compact CVT transmission.

  There are currently fewer than 10 CVT models in the Chinese market; they include the Honda Fit, Nissan Teana, Chery Qiyun and the FAW Haima ed with the manual transmissions and the automatic transmissions of today,the advanced CVT technology of Punch Powertrain is only as expensive as a six-speed automatic transmission.

  瑞士邦奇动力有限公司(Punch Powertrain,以下简称“邦奇动力”)于近日接管了全球变速器制造巨头采埃孚(ZF)的无级变速器产品,并在中国全额投资建立了第一家外商独资的自动变速箱制造厂。新工厂位于中国东部活分江苏省的省会南京,占地面积6,188平方米,计划于2008年8月开始生产变速器产品,年产量可达10万台。

  作为无级变速器和混合动力车传动系统的供应商,邦奇动力是首家在中国投资建立总装厂的国外无级变速器公司。该公司在比利时也建有变速器生产厂家,其年产量为8万台。

  无级变速器技术被认为是汽车工业发展中的一项重大创新,它具有提高汽车动力效能,提升驾驶舒适度,增加驾驶乐趣和有效节能减排等诸多优点。而且,邦奇公司推出的无级变速器还可完全满足新欧V排放标准。

  邦奇动力先进的无级变速器产品还提供了包括OBDII在内的软件功能和包括冷起动后加热模式、上下坡识别等在内的多种驾驶策略。此外,它不但结构紧凑,还同时具有手动模式、运动模式、经济模式和雪路模式等多种可供选择的附加功能。

  中国汽车市场上现有不到十款车型中安装有无级变速器,包括本田飞度,日产骐达,奇瑞旗云和一汽海马系列。与现行的手动变速器及自动变速器相比,邦奇动力推出的无级变速器的价格却仅与六挡手动变速器相当。
